Jaywick

Jaywick’s high level of deprivation over time has brought  about a number of interventions to try and solve its problems.

Tendring District Council’s latest strategy documents can be found by clicking on the following link.

In addition to the above strategy, Tendring District Council and Essex County Council in partnership with The East of England Development Agency, the Environment Agency and GO (Government Office) East have commissioned a study that looks at both the need for, and the feasibility of, the wholesale regeneration of the area.

The report’s vision for Jaywick is stated as:

‘A deliverable programme developed with the community for the transformation of Jaywick into an inclusive, safe, sustainable, economically buoyant community taking advantage of its coastal location’.
